My world!

I thought that I would take some time to blog about things going on in my world. I have been busy the last few weeks, we bought the stock and equipment from 3 stores that had closed down. That has taken up a lot of our time the last few weeks, but we are done! We got lots of things that are going to help us build our business more. We got it cheap too! Thank you Lord!
Shane started T-ball and he is loving it. I will post some pictures sometime. He turned 5 on the 19th, oh how time flies. Brylee can't figure out why she can't play t-ball, I told her she could when she turns 5, and of course she said I am 5 and she held up her 5 little fingers. She is too cute.
I think that John and Lori have decided on the name Bradley for the first name, they are still debating a middle name, John wants Blaze and Lori wants Thomas. We will see. All these babies, I haven't seen Addie and Lexie in a few weeks so I am planning to go by tomorrow and see them for a little while. Mom is keeping the kids tomorrow night so I will go and see them when I drop off the kids. Shane and Brylee will be upset when they find out that I went to see them without them, they love them, they talk about them a lot. I am getting excited about meeting baby Noah. Won't be long now. Also Shannon's cousin Valerie will be having twin boys any time now. So many babies and so little time!

Camping season is just around the corner, most of you know that we spend a good part of our summer in guntersville at our camper, it is a lot of fun and the kids love it. We could already be going but since we have t-ball we won't get to go much until June. This is the first time that Shannon and I have been tied to anything other than jobs since we have been married, almost 11 years. It is so strange, but it has been fun. Well Brylee just woke up so I am going to end here. God Bless!

The desires of your heart!

Psalm 20:1-9 (AMP) 1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.
MAY THE Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high [and defend you]; 2 Send you help from the sanctuary and support, refresh, and strengthen you from Zion; 3 Remember all your offerings and accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah [pause, and think of that]! 4 May He grant you according to your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans. 5 We will [shout in] triumph at your salvation and victory, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners. May the Lord fulfill all your petitions. 6 Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. 7 Some trust in and boast of chariots and some of horses, but we will trust in and boast of the name of the Lord our God. 8 They are bowed down and fallen, but we are risen and stand upright. 9 O Lord, give victory; let the King answer us when we call.
I use a study bible and as I was reading this morning I came upon this scripture. In a study bible many of them have commentary in the bottom of the bible and mine says that Psalms 20:1-9 : This psalm may have been a typical congregational prayer used with sacrifices offered just before going to war.
If you think about it we are at war in this world all the time with our lives. We have to fight through the ways of the world and try to triumph in the ways of the Lord. The good news is that we can overcome the world. The Lord will grant us the desires of our heart if we just fight the good fight of faith. Be faithful in the things that the Lord puts in your heart. People will try to tell you that you can't, but if the Lord told you to do it he will give you what you need to do it. I know this is a short blog, but this is what I felt like writing about, I know that I may be repeating myself some,but maybe there is someone who needs to hear it. God Bless!

I want to be an eagle!

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
I wanted to start out with this scripture because I believe that it says a lot. Wait, that is a hard thing to do sometimes, but the scripture says if we wait the LORD will renew our strength. Sometimes I find it funny how the Lord shows me things over and over again until I get it. When He starts to deal with me about something I see it being shown to me in so many ways. I have heard so many messages on being an eagle in the last year. I believe that my spirit is like an eagle in so many ways. If you know anything about an eagle, they are remarkable animals. Eagles are bold, strong, courageous, fiercely devoted the eagle has many wonderful characteristics. Eagles come in all shapes and sizes, but you will recognize them chiefly by their attitudes. An eagle is loyal and committed, a reliable mate, and a devoted parent. An eagle has a sharp, keen eyesight and knows how to fly efficiently by riding the thermal currents of the earth. They dwell on the rocks in high places and is confident enough to fly alone and to stand alone in life when necessary and to be strong against the storm, spreading its wings and soaring above the clouds and storms of destruction. That is how I want to be, I want to go above the storm and look down on it. We will have things that we have to go through in life, but the testimony is when we go through them and make it. And we will make it if we stand on the word of God.

Think about the times that we have not stood up for ourselves or let someone say things to us that we didn't want them saying. If you look back on your life I think that we all could see some things that we could have done differently. I know that in my life, sometimes I try to make everyone around me happy and when you do that sometimes you forget to be happy yourself. One thing that I have learned though is that we can not make someone happy all we can do is live our lives trying to do what is right and live happy ourselves and if you are living a happy life ourselves that will be a testimony in itself. I know that we all cannot be eagles it takes all kinds to make up the world, but I know that is what I am going to be from now on. I hope that the people who know me can handle it, because living like an eagle means taking control of my life and my destiny. For me that means doing what the Lord leads me to do not what people expect me to do! My prayer for you today is that you can find the destiny the Lord has for you, because sometimes what the Lord has and what our flesh has is two very different things. I believe that the Lord will show you the way to go if you will pray and seek him in what you are doing in your life. Have a personal relationship with with the Lord make Him your best friend! God Bless!

The Man Who Thinks He Can!

The Man Who Thinks He Can

by Walter D. Wintle

If you think you are beaten, you are.

If you think you dare not, you don't.

If you'd like to win, but think you can't,

It's almost a cinch that you won't.

If you think you'll lose, you're lost,

For out in the world we find

Success begins with a fellow's will;

It's all in the state of mind.

If you think you're outclassed, you are;

You've got to think high to rise.

You've got to be sure of yourself before

You can ever win a prize.

Life's battles don't always go

To the strongest or fastest man;

But sooner or later the man who wins,

Is the one who thinks he can.

I am reading 8 Steps to Create the Life You Want (The Anatomy of a Successful Life) by Dr. Creflo Dollar. These are the kind of books I read most of the time. I don't get much time to read with the kids and the stores, but I do try to read most everyday. I read this poem in his book and I thought it was very good. I have always tried to speak positive and have the can do attitude, and I truly believe that it has a positive affect. Remember it is not just positive that can impact your life, but also negative. If you live your life in the pit, always talking down about yourself or other situations that is what your life is going to be. We have to be careful about what we are saying and even thinking. I have a customer who every time you ask how things are he says not good. I believe that by saying that everyday and dwelling on the negative things in our lives, we bring on more of the same. The truth is his life probably is not very good, because that is what he believes. There are days when I feel like I can't go anymore or just don't feel good, but I would never tell the people who are asking how I am that is how I am feeling. I believe that you speak things into your life with the words you use so if you stay positive and up about the situations in your life chances are that we will have a much easier life.

Luke 1:37(AMP) For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.

Guard your hearts!

Proverbs 4:20-27 (GW) 20 My son, pay attention to my words. Open your ears to what I say. 21 Do not lose sight of these things. Keep them deep within your heart 22 because they are life to those who find them and they heal the whole body. 23 Guard your heart more than anything else, because the source of your life flows from it. 24 Remove dishonesty from your mouth. Put deceptive speech far away from your lips. 25 Let your eyes look straight ahead and your sight be focused in front of you. 26 Carefully walk a straight path, and all your ways will be secure. 27 Do not lean to the right or to the left. Walk away from evil.
When I read this passage I hear the Lord telling me to stop, listen to what I am saying, life will be much easier if you will look before you leap. He is saying to learn his word and use it as a weapon of warfare. We have to guard our hearts, we have to look straight a head and not stray, because if we do we will delay our blessings.
2 Corinthians 10:4 (KJV) 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;). I believe that if we use the word of God as a weapon against the devil we will be mighty in everything that we do. If you have been around me much you will know that I always use positive words or I try to, I believe that we speak things and when we speak things we think things and when we think about something long enough it gets into our hearts. So that is why I try to speak positively, try it I have faith that it will make things start to happen in your life that will impact you in ways you never thought possible. I know that some people may believe that I am a little nuts, but the proof is in my life the Lord has blessed me so much and I believe it is because of the choices that I make. My goal is to look to God before any decision I make and choose the right path in my life so that I can receive the blessings that He has laid up for me. That is my prayer for you tonight also. I pray that the Lord bless you with everything your hearts desire, but remember to put the right things in your heart and the right things will come out of your heart. It is all about the path you choose so make sure that you are taking the time to talk with God about every situation in your life ( big or little) He will help you choose the right path. God Bless!
